CVSS Summer Games, promoting Social Inclusion
Category: Sports
Over 1000 young people from under-served communities in Kingston and other parishes get the opportunity to compete in various sporting events including track and field in July of each year at the Council of Voluntary Social Services (CVSS) Summer Games. This meet promotes social inclusion and, through interactions with other children with various challenges, young people learn tolerance, patience, and the importance of teamwork. It allows them to highlight their skills, learn good sportsmanship, and affords them the possibility of being recognized for scholarships and other opportunities.
