The Spanish Jamaican Foundation awards scholarships to 20 student teachers

The Spanish-Jamaican Foundation paid the CSEC oral examination fees, valued at JMD$1,333,850.00, for over one thousand students sitting Spanish in the parishes of St. Ann, Trelawny, Westmoreland, St. James and Hanover.

The Foundation also hosted a Spanish Immersion Day for CSEC students in early April in Kingston, Montego Bay and Mandeville and visited primary schools on Read Across Jamaica Day to read in Spanish.

Earlier in this academic year, bursaries and scholarships totaling a little over one million dollars were awarded to students of the HEART College of Hospitality Services, the Montego Bay Community College and students from the University of the West Indies (UWI) through the UWIDEF (UWI Development and Endowment Fund).
